our story
THIRSDAZE is an online Australian company based out of Gippsland in Regional Victoria. Launched in 2024 by friends and work colleagues Hayley & Mel.
THIRSDAZE was created with a concept to challenge the way we think about everyday accessories and make them better. We strive to showcase products that we trust and believe in – including our very own Patent Pending soon to be released collection.
Hayley & Mel have known each other for over 20+ years, but it wasn’t until 2012 when Hayley moved home from Melbourne and got a job working for Mel and her husband that their friendship was born.
Fast forward 10 years or so and working together once again, through the crazy years that saw lockdowns and a pandemic they would spend their one day a week in the office together thinking of ideas and day dreaming of fun filled years ahead.
It was during these ‘Thursday’s' together that THIRSDAZE was born.
From here, it was full steam ahead. From initial prototype development with hot glue guns and a total lack of creative flair, through to meetings with patent lawyers and sourcing companies, their vision was clear and they hit the ground running.
A little more about us...
Melanie grew up in beautiful Gippsland enjoying boating, beaching and camping….and she’s still doing the same thing to this day! Whilst life is a little busier now as a wife and mother to two very active
teenage daughters and running a couple of business, she always ensures she squeezes in time to enjoy time outside – from Gippsland, to holidaying in other beautiful parts of Australia.
During her downtime Melanie loves spending time with friends, taking her dog for a walk, going for a swim or doing Pilates.
Having studied Business and Commerce at Uni, Melanie
is an absolute wizard at all things business, finance and numbers related – just don’t get her started on graphs or line charts as she is easily excited!
Her business wisdom, passion and drive has built several successful companies over her 20-year career, and we see this one being no different.
Hayley also grew up in beautiful Gippsland, making the move to the ‘big smoke’ (Melbourne) when she was 18.
She resided there for nearly 10 years, before making the decision to relocate back to Gippsland, where she met her partner and went on to have 2 beautiful boys!
Having worked in an array of fields from a luxurious 5-star Spa Retreat to going onto study Early Childhood Education and managing a successful Childcare Centre, she is passionate about consistently growing and learning both personally and professionally.
Hayley loves to travel, whether it be just locally getting away in the caravan with her partner and boys or visiting her favourite place in the world- BALI.
She loves spending time with family and friends and will never say no to a cheeky Prosecco. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and is always up for a good laugh.
